Teak bowl carved from a single piece of Teak root wood and intricately decorated with a Sterling Silver Rooster. Often used as a decorative piece, it can also be used to serve candies and is an ideal gift for any occasion.

The teak root was sourced from the finest teak plantations in Java, Indonesia, which is known to have the ideal conditions for high grade Teak quality. Teak has a high oil content, giving it the highest decay-resistance among all-natural wood products. Due to its durability, while it is still used for boat building, yachts, exterior construction, indoor and outdoor furniture, it also very dear to artists and sculptors for making intricate carvings and elaborate sculptures. Lotus Arts de Vivre uses various free-formations of the teak branches, teak root or driftwood to further hand-carve and create its designs, giving wood a second life.
This piece took approximately 8 weeks labour to finish, with over 5 craftsmen and designers involved from design to production.
Product Care: Clean with soft brush and apply bees wax on the wooden part. For silver decoration part, wipe gently with silver cleaning glove or using cotton balls dab with silver cleaning solution.
As a symbol, the rooster stands for pride, hope, a new day, and even resurrection. For the Chinese, rooster symbolism is linked to good luck, wealth, and fortune. The Japanese believe the rooster symbol to be a signal for prayer.
