Lotus Arts de Vivre sources its Mother of Pearl plates from the tropics of Asia and the collection includes various designs of plates. Mother of Pearl is the common name for a nacre coating, it is strong, resilient, and iridescent. Popular for their sturdiness and beauty, it was also used to decorate watches, knives, guns, and jewellery. The main commercial sources of these shells started in the early 1900’s, worn by the Kings and Queens of various eras.
The piece is perfectly suited as a formal dining implement – Nestle this iridescent plate for a stunning caviar presentation, host evening cocktails with miniature hors d'oeuvres or serve fruits, dessert, and candies for a casual gathering. This piece took approximately 6-8 weeks labour to finish, with over 6 craftsmen and designers involved from design to production.
Hand wash only. For silver decoration part, wipe gently with silver cleaning glove or use cotton balls dabbed with silver cleaning solution.
